Goal
For the 2021 edition of the Community Hero initiative, Underdog Studio was tasked with rebranding the contest to create a fresh and modern look that would engage a wider audience. The new brand had to be fun and welcoming, while still conveying Kubota Canada's commitment to supporting small communities across the country.
Underdog Studio worked closely with Kubota Canada to create a brand that reflected the core values of the Community Hero initiative. The new brand is built around the idea of celebrating local heroes and the unique contributions they make to their communities. The design features bold, dynamic typography and bright, cheerful colours that evoke a sense of optimism and positivity. The result is a brand that is both approachable and impactful, inviting Canadians from all walks of life to nominate and celebrate their community heroes.
Branding Development
Our team at Underdog Studio began the Kubota Community Hero rebranding process by conducting a thorough analysis of the existing brand and its values. We conducted extensive research on Kubota Canada's brand history and values, as well as the unique characteristics and values of small communities across Canada. From there, we developed a range of brand concepts and worked closely with the Kubota team to refine and finalize the chosen concept. This included developing a full brand system, including typography, color palette, and visual elements that conveyed the brand's values and messaging. The final result is a cohesive and recognizable brand identity that speaks to the unique nature of the Community Hero initiative and Kubota Canada's commitment to supporting Canadian communities.
Result
The Kubota Community Hero rebrand was a success, with a new visual identity that captures the spirit of community and celebrates the contributions of local heroes. The brand guidelines ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints, creating a cohesive and recognizable brand presence. Through collaboration and strategic design decisions, Underdog Studio was able to create a brand that not only reflects Kubota Canada's core values but also resonates with their target audience.
